Welcome to Impact Mississippi

DrFutral.jpgWelcome to impactmississippi.net. Hopefully you are here because you're concerned that many people across the Magnolia state are struggling to find meaning and hope in their life. They may have many or few material things and yet realize that their life lacks meaning and purpose. Even people with wide circles of friends may struggle with life's challenges. So what can we do?

We can begin a journey of understanding others and find effective ways to share the life changing Gospel of Jesus Christ with them and help them begin their process of growing closer to God. The “Impact” we desire from this site is to see a growing number of new Christ Followers who are engaged with a local church and are becoming multiplying disciples of Jesus.

Impactmississippi.net was developed with the Intercultural Institute for Contextual Ministry to provide specific tools to equip individuals and churches with information about various communities across Mississippi. These tools are designed to help people understand their neighbors better as well as to find ways to build relationships with them so they can truly understand the life changing impact offered through faith in Jesus.

The various parts of this site will help you understand the missional opportunities or landscape of our state, develop a prayer plan to enlist God’s help with your outreach, discover resources to help you, communicate with others on similar journeys across Mississippi, identify some locations where a greater Gospel presence is needed and provide contact information for people who are engaged in helping others expand the Gospel across the state.

Use this site to find motivation, information, ideas for strategies and other resources to help your mission to grow God’s Kingdom in Mississippi. The Mississippi Baptist Convention Board is pleased to help you in your endeavor.

Acts 1:8

Jesus told them: “…but you will receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you; and you shall be My witnesses both in Jerusalem, and in all Judea and Samaria, and even to the remotest part of the earth.”
